NYU Urban Journalism Workshop celebrates 30 years on Wednesday

Over the past three decades, hundreds of high school students have learned the basics of the newspaper craft at New York University’s annual Urban Journalism Workshop.
More than 500 students have taken the week-long program, which gives aspiring journalism students a crash course in newspaper reporting, writing and editing, all while living on campus, said NYU professor and workshop coordinator Pamela Newkirk.
