Police bust NY ‘Occupy’ protest in nighttime sweep (AP)

Occupy Wall Street protesters regroup in Duarte Park Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011 in New York after they were forced to leave and their encampment was taken down in Zucotti Park after nearly two months of occupation.  The National Lawyers Guild obtained a court order allowing the protesters to return with their tents to the park, where they have camped for two months. The guild said the injunction prevents the city from enforcing park rules on the protesters. Mets sweep Phils after R.A.’s near no-no

When Nick Evans made a tumbling catch to end the sixth inning, even R.A. Dickey believed it was possible. Shane Victorino’s one-out double one inning later spoiled Dickey’s bid for the first no-hitter in Mets history, but the Mets still went on to doubleheader sweep of the Phillies at Citi Field. “When Nick made that catch, and with the type of knuckleball I had today, I thought I had a chance,” Dickey said.

Nats pile on late to sweep Mets, 10-1

The Mets sunk even lower Thursday. The Nationals completed a four-game sweep of the Mets with a 10-1 victory in a rain-delayed game in front of an announced crowd of 22, 205 at Citi Field. It was the Mets’ sixth straight loss and, though it is now only a matter of pride, they fell out of third place in the National League East. Mets starter Chris Schwinden took the loss in his second major league start.

Mets hold on to sweep Reds, 10-9

Lucas Duda said Wednesday that, although he was now the rightfielder he could not be Carlos Beltran. He was right – but in the two games since Beltran left to become a Giant, Duda has produced. In the Mets’ 10-9 win over Cincinnati Thursday, which completed a four-game sweep of the Reds, Duda contributed a key three-run double in the fourth – after homering on Wednesday, the first game of the post-Beltran era.

No L.A. sweep after 6-0 Mets defeat

For weeks, success. Respectability. Camaraderie. And then, on a night when another crisp game would have eased the loss of Jose Reyes, a Metsian effort: Bad defense, bad luck, and an unraveling. Bay puts brakes on Subway Series sweep, 3-2

It took until the very end of this three-game installment of the Subway Series for the Mets to finally get some satisfaction. About everything that could have gone wrong did until the Mets tied the game in the ninth inning against Yankees closer Mariano Rivera and then won it in the 10th on a Jason Bay single.
