World Series Game 6 a washout
The Rangers have waited more than 50 years for their first World Series title. They’ll have to wait one more day to take their first crack at it. Game 6 of the World Series has been postponed due to inclement weather, as the forecasts called for rain throughout much of Wednesday night.

Holland gets Rangers square in World Series
St. Louis fans will have at least one more chance to see Albert Pujols in a Cardinals uniform at Busch Stadium. The Rangers squared the World Series at two games apiece Sunday night with a 4-0 win over the Cardinals in Game 4. Derek Holland gave the Rangers the performance they needed, twirling 8-1/3 innings of shutout ball against an offense that had battered Texas pitching for 16 runs on Saturday night.

Rangers rally in 9th, win 2-1 to tie World Series
The Cardinals’ bullpen is human, after all. St. Louis was three outs away from a commanding lead in the World Series, but the Rangers scored twice in the ninth against three Cardinals relievers, pulling out a 2-1 win that evened the series at one game apiece.Josh Hamilton’s sacrifice fly tied the game for the Rangers, then Michael Young followed with one of his own, putting Texas ahead for the first time in the World Series.

Wild Cards: St. Louis in World Series
It was a hot mess of a baseball game. Home runs were available to anyone who wanted one, and the pitching was straight-up little league. At least the National League Championship Series, a six-game slopfest unworthy of its name, ended Sunday night, when the St. Louis Cardinals out beer-leagued the Milwaukee Brewers, 12-6.
