U.S. runs out of magic in World Cup final
The United States ran out of miracles Sunday night, lost their touch from the penalty spot and suffered a devastating loss to Japan in the World Cup final. The U.S., which twice blew leads with the title in their grasp, instead heads home with one of the more inexplicable losses in the history of the national team. Despite dominating Japan for much of the match, the United States found themselves in penalty kicks, the same place where it beat Brazil a week earlier.
