AFP – WASHINGTON (AFP) – US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Sunday defended the decision to try five alleged plotters of the 9/11 attacks in a New York civilian court, saying it is “appropriate” they face justice there.

Reuters – BEIJING (Reuters) – China lashed out at the United States on Monday after the Obama administration sent six Uighur Chinese detainees from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay to the Pacific island nation of Palau.
