Rangers’ playoff berth in doubt after 3-0 loss to Thrashers at Garden

It took 15 seconds for the Rangers to lose control of their season. In a fateful quarter of a minute Thursday night, the Atlanta Thrashers turned a scoreless game into a two-goal lead thanks to Rob Schremp and Andrew Ladd, and this time, the Rangers had no miracle comeback, falling 3-0 at the Garden. Now, the Blueshirts must root for the Thrashers.

Giants GM says Kiwanuka’s career in doubt

Giants GM Jerry Reese conceded “it’s a possibility” that Mathias Kiwanuka will never play football again due to the herniated disc in his neck. Reese, talking to reporters at the NFL’s scouting combine Saturday morning, said that while the defensive end has gotten “good reports” from doctors, he still must decide if it’s worth the risk to resume his career.
