Libyan rebels capture major base defending capital (AP)

Libyan rebels said they were less than 20 miles (30 kilometers) from Moammar Gadhafi's main stronghold of Tripoli on Sunday, a day after opposition fighters launched their first attack on the capital itself. Capture of Boston gangster could mean more scandal (AP)

Big D! Mavericks capture first NBA crown, 105-95

Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks are NBA champions, and they went through LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh for that long-awaited first title. Jason Terry scored 27 points, Nowitzki added 21 and the Mavericks topped the Miami Heat 105-95 in Game 6 of the NBA finals on Sunday night. The Mavericks won four of the series’ last five games.
