A GOP debt plan would hit some popular tax breaks (AP)

Thirteen was a very lucky number in Las Vegas on Thursday night. The Puerto Rican urban music duo Calle 13, which mixes humorous, socially conscious lyrics with a pan Latin sound, dominated the 12th annual Latin Grammy Awards in Sin City, winning nine of the record 10 awards they were up for.

Bondy: Plax breaks out for Jets

There were times this season, and even in the first half of this huge game yesterday, when Plaxico Burress didn’t look as if he belonged on a football field anymore. When the tattoo on his back, “Everything happens for a reason,” did not appear prophetic at all. Burress wasn’t gaining any separation from corners, and Mark Sanchez wasn’t getting him the ball high in stride or on his back shoulder.
