‘Austin Powers’ actor suspected of killing cellmate

LOS ANGELES – The “Austin Powers” actor recently convicted of torturing a woman in a brutal 1990 rape is now suspected of murdering his prison cellmate, state officials said Tuesday. Joseph Son, best known for playing the shoe-throwing henchman Random Task in the 1997 Mike Meyers movie, killed the 50-year-old inmate found dead in his cell about 5:50 p.m. Monday at Wasco State Prison-Reception Center in Kern County, according to prison officials.
